The SSI Perfect Buoyancy works to improve your buoyancy control to help you have a better dive experience. This course will help you minimise your breathing gas consumption, glide effortlessly above the ocean floor and ensure the safety of the reef.
SSI Wreck Diving
Fish and coral often find a comfortable home amongst sunken ships. Over the years ships have sunk for natural reasons or have been intentionally sunk to make dive sites. The SSI Wreck Diving speciality introduces you to techniques that help you safely dive above and around these underwater treasures. This speciality includes 2 dives.

SSI Night Diving
While the reef is vibrant with activity during the day, there are some amazing creatures that only become active and are easy to spot during the night. For example, Lobsters can sometimes be seen hunting freely on a night dive but are usually seen hiding in crevices during your day dives. The Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty introduces you to techniques that allow you to safely explore the reef with a buddy during the night using specialized equipment and different communication signals. This specialty includes 2 dives.

SSI Deep Diving
Reefs that are located deeper than a depth of 18 meters are not beyond your reach. While the Open Water certification trains you to dive to a depth of 18 meters, there is some additional training that you can go through to visit the reefs that lie further below. The SSI Deep Diving speciality includes 3 dives and a theory session. A diver can explore reefs down to a depth of 40 meters after completing this speciality.

SSI Marine Ecology
The ocean environment comprises of complex ecosystems that coexist and host a vast number of organisms. This speciality provides a general understanding of the interaction between various creatures that inhabit the reefs and the relationship between communities that live under the sea. SSI Diver Stress and Rescue
Divers can sometimes undergo some amount of stress for various reasons which can lead to accidents in the water. Once you complete the Diver Stress & Rescue speciality, you will learn to recognise diver stress and prevent accidents and deal with emergency situations that can be encountered while diving. Completing the Diver Stress & Rescue speciality will equip you with new skills and make you feel more confident in the water. This course can be completed in 3 to 4 days.
SSI React Right
SSI React Right is a knowledge programme that does not require in-water training. This programme covers first aid and CPR training, teaches you how to conduct a primary assessment and primary stabilisation techniques. The course can help you react responsibly when you see an emergency situation arising from diving or non-diving accidents.
SSI Science Of Diving
The SSI Science of Diving covers a detailed study relevant to divers in the fields of physics, physiology, decompression theory, diving equipment and the aquatic environment. This programme can be completed online. While this programme is useful for all divers, it is required training for those that are looking to do SSI Dive Professional programmes.
