Turtle Beach

The dive site is a suitable one for scuba diving as well as snorkeling and is located right next to Elephant beach. The coral belt starts from 2 meters and the deepest point goes down up to 23 meters. The reef is laying alongside the turtle beach and is the most suitable to spend your surface interval time somewhere around the white sandy beach.  

While diving at Turtle beach, you will witness grown stag coral rocks and a school of sergeant major fish. You will also discover numerous giant clamps, sea anemones, and clownfish during your dive. The dive site is located at the western corner of Havelock Island and can be easily accessed by a dive boat. In the year 2005-2006, non-swimmers were not eligible to do scuba diving. We have designed try scuba diving program for beginners and non-swimmers. The program of scuba diving in Andaman for non-swimmers will accommodate those who can’t swim but also maintain proper quality and safety while diving.

How do we conduct scuba diving for beginners or nonswimmers?

It is recommended to make your scuba dive booking in advance. It will be helpful to get your preferred time slots for diving on a specific dive date. On the date of diving, one of our instructors will assist you to complete your required paperwork and provide a short briefing on underwater hand signals, how the scuba gear works and expected underwater sightseeing during your dive. Afterward, you have to put on a wetsuit for the practical training session at the chest level deep water.

At the training point, your instructor helps you to put on the scuba diving set. You will take your first underwater breath here and you might not find it easy in the beginning but after a couple of attempts, you will find it super easy and comfortable. During the training session, you will learn how to release underwater ear pressure, how to clear water from a mask while diving, and how to release water from the mouth in case the regulator is accidentally removed from the mouth underwater. Prior dive training is mandatory for Scuba diving in Havelock to ensure for a safe and smooth dive experience.
