What is an SSI Basic Diver program?
Still confused? whether you should really go for the complete scuba diving courses or not. Well the SSI Basic Diver is a beginner-level program that prepares you to dive to a depth of 12 meters.
This program can be completed within a day and is a suitable choice if you are unsure of committing to a scuba certification course yet.
Your instructor will give you an introduction to dive theory and prepare you with a few necessary skills to help you feel more comfortable with the scuba gear as you explore the reef.
No prior experience in diving or even swimming is required to sign up for the SSI Basic Diver program.

What is the Scuba Diver course?
Do you want to learn how to dive but have limited time in Andamans? The SSI Scuba Diver course should be well suited to you as it is a two-day program and is the first half of the SSI Open Water course. That certifies you to dive to a depth of 12 meters.
While the depth limit is the same as the SSI Basic Diver, this program earns you a certification and gives you a deeper understanding of managing various situations underwater.
The skills and theory requirements give you a higher level of confidence before you begin your dive experience.

What is an SSI Open water Diver?
The enchanting coral reefs and vibrant marine life of Andamans play an important role to learn scuba diving in India. It’s not about only learning but exploring also the best world-class dive sites during your course.
The Open Water Diver Course is a four-day program that certifies you to dive to a depth of 18 meters. A diver completes various performance requirements underwater that the instructor assesses and the certification you will earn is recognized all over the world.
Your instructor will prepare you with skills that allow you to explore reefs beneath the surface which covers 70 % of our planet and welcome You as the newest member of the ‘scuba diving’ community.
While no prior diving experience is required to sign up for the SSI Open Water Diver course but being able to swim is a prerequisite.

What is an SSI Advanced Adventure Diver Course?
This course is the next step toward your underwater adventure. You must complete an Open Water certification before signing up for the SSI Advanced Adventurer course.
The program consists of 5 Open Water dives and gives you an introduction to various specialized aspects of diving and the SSI Advanced Adventurer Diver course certifies you to dive to a new depth of 30 meters.
You will learn about underwater navigation, improving your buoyancy underwater, deep diving, identifying fish families, and a lot more during your Advanced Adventure Diver course.
During the Deep Adventure Dives, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The course can be completed in two to three days.

Responsible & Safe Scuba Diving Practices
Scuba diving is an extremely safe adventure activity when all guidelines are followed. We at Seahawks Scuba strictly follow the guidelines implemented around the world by Scuba Schools International (SSI) as well as the local administration in the Andamans. The dive professional accompanying you is your best buddy underwater. Stay close to him/her at all times and follow their instructions. They will remain right next to you throughout the experience and will point out the fish and coral life you shouldn’t miss out on.
The professionals will also make sure that you get photographs and videos of the experience. Follow the training instructions thoroughly and communicate with them underwater to have an uninterrupted amazing experience. Do NOT touch the coral/reef OR fish for preservation purposes as well as for your own safety. If you’re ready for that then you’re ready for an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience. On completion of a scuba diving course, a scuba diving certification will be issued by the concerned authorities.
