The Wall Dive Site At Havelock AKA Swaraj Dweep

Description:- As the name suggests, the reef forms a wall-like structure. The Wall is considered to be a deep dive site, suitable for certified divers. The Wall is located right in the middle of the channel in front of the Lighthouse of Havelock and Peel Island.

A big underwater rock having one side sharp down into the blue. The deepest point is up to a depth of 55 meters while the shallowest part of the reef starts at 10.2 meters. The Reef is a combination of soft and hard corals adorned in a variety of colors from green to purple, white, yellow, and pink. 

The Wall is a cleaning station for large groups of fish such as Snappers, Jackfish, Barracuda, Fusiliers, and Bannerfish. A variety of marine life exists at the top of the reef including macroorganisms, scorpionfish, lobsters, stonefish, shrimp, and lionfish. The dive site is popular among scuba dive students and certified divers.

Topography:- The Wall is a combination of multiple reefs underwater laying all over the rock. There are two big reefs, and they are 30 meters away from each other horizontally. Besides being a deep dive site, It has also shallow parts. The depth ranges between 10.2 meters to 18 meters around the shallow areas, where the other side has a sharp depth till 55 meters. You should include mild currents coming from the east during the planning of your dive.

Dive Level (Suitable for):- OWD Certified Divers, DM trainees, and Experienced Divers for fun diving.

Best Time To Scuba Dive:- October to May. Dive time at 5:30 am, 10:30 am. The given schedule might get disturbed due to ferry timings.

What you can see at The Wall!

Regularly spotted marine species:- Napoleon wrasse, Lobster, Nemo fish, Bannerfish, Snapper, Trevally, Giant Grouper, Sweetlips, Sea Anemones, Rabbitfish, Needlefish, Parrotfish, Triggerfish, Pufferfish, Butterflyfish, Barracuda, Sea Cucumber, Jackfish, and many more.

Occasionally spotted marine species:- Octopus, Dolphins, Marble Rays, Squid, Humphead parrot fish, Lionfish, Crocodile fish, and many more.

Popular coral species:- Stag horn coral, Larger star coral, Valley coral, Mushroom coral, Fan coral, Cauliflower coral, sea anemones, Sea Urchin, Sea cucumber, and many more.

The dive boats can locate the mooring buoy of the Wall using the coordinates ( Google Maps at 12.05968, 92.96043 ). There is an underwater rock formation stretching more than 200 meters between Havelock and Pill Island.  

There are also multiple coral reefs, and they look amazing together. Boat dives are commonly done here.

We will be providing you with a buoyancy compensator, quality regulators with attached submersible pressure gauges, a wetsuit, weights with belt, mask, and booties for a seamless experience.

Most enthusiasts carry:- An underwater camera to shoot the surroundings and a surface marker buoy for better safety. They do use wearables such as rash guards, dive computers, and UV torches for a better experience. 

Please Note:- Divers normally avail of our free pick-up and drop-off service, which is available within a 5 KM radius of our location.  Cash payment, UPI payment, debit-credit card, internet banking, and PayPal payment are the common ways to pay at the dive center after the experience.
