Mundapahar Beach Dive Site At Havelock AKA Swaraj Dweep

Description:- Mundapahar Beach offers a shallow dive site on its shoreline. It is located in Chidiyatapu village, 19 kilometers from the capital city of Port Blair. The shallowest part of the reef starts from 3 meters while the deepest point lands at 8 meters on the sandy bottom. The shallow Reef of Mundapahar Beach is quite suitable for snorkeling activities too.

The dive site is home to a variety of coral reef structures including Valley coral, brain coral, sea anemones, and  Sea Urchin. Scuba diving in the transparent blue waters of Mundapahar Reef allows us to witness parrotfish, lionfish, sea snakes, fusiliers, angelfish, occasionally spotted juvenile sweetlips, and many other marine species. 

Topography:- Sloping Reef

Dive Level (Suitable for):- Beginners 

Best Time To Scuba Dive:- October to May ( 5:10 am till 1:30 pm ) 

Dive site depth:- 3-8 meters

What we can see during scuba diving at Mundapahar Beach!

Regularly spotted marine species:- Parrotfish, Lionfish, Sea Snakes, Fusiliers, Angelfish, Reef Fish, and many more. 

Occasionally spotted marine species:- Juvenile Sweetlips, Octopuses, Sea turtles, and many more. 

Popular coral species:- Valley coral, Brain coral, Sea Anemones, Sea Urchin, and many more. 

Cost of scuba diving at Mundapahar Beach!

Non-Certified Divers:- INR 4500 + 18% GST per person ( beginners & non-swimmers ).

Certified Divers:- INR 3000 + 18% GST ( open water diver or above qualified ).
