Scuba Diving at Minerva Ledge, Havelock Island
About Minerva Ledge Dive Site At Havelock AKA Swaraj Dweep
Description:- Minerva Ledge is the best diving spot for intermediate divers located 18 kilometers east of Havelock Island. Minerva Ledge is a very huge dive site that can’t be explored on a single dive. In 1970, Jacques Cousteau discovered the site during his exploration of the Andaman Islands.
It is a popular spot to experience flat coral gardens, nudibranchs, and spectacular sea dwellers including reef fish and sharks. The strong water currents of the site make it a popular hotspot for drift diving too. You might also spot occasional visits of turtles, moray eels, and giant groupers who take refuge under rocky outcrops. The depth of the dive site fluctuates between 12 to 24 meters.
