About Margherita’s Mischief Dive Site in Neil Island AKA Shaheed Dweep

Description:- Margherita’s Mischief is another popular dive site located 2.5 kilometers north of Neil Island. The topography of the reef looks like a chain of rocky mounds that extends southward from the descent point. Divers can occasionally spot Dugongs at the reef, who visit the reef to eat seagrass grown on the sandy bottom of the dive site. You will find a spacious species of marine animals hiding under its rocks such as shrimps, eels, lobsters, octopus, mantis shrimps, and many others.

The top part of the reef starts at 6 meters, while the bottom drops to 16 meters, on the huge sandy bottom covered with a maze of boulders. Divers can spot hundreds of yellow snappers and soldierfish sailing around the boulder patches. The dive site experiences little to no current in most of the months of the year. Easy depths and good visibility of the reef are suitable for all scuba divers including open-water students.
