Light House Dive Site At Havelock AKA Swaraj Dweep
Description:- The Light House is one of the popular dive sites in Havelock Island boasting splendid marine life including a combination of hard and soft corals. The lighthouse is a large along-shore coral reef located on the western coast of Havelock about 3 KM away from the main ferry station of Havelock Island.
Excellent underwater visibility and calm sea conditions, and an amazing landscape are perfect for beginner scuba divers, night divers, and snorkelers. The reef also offers interesting macro life worth mesmerizing experience during a scuba dive.
Topography:- The sloping reef of the dive site starts from 3 meters and lands down to 23 meters on the sandy bottom. One can face very mild current regularly. It seems someone has planted a garden the way the coral reef looks like.
Dive Level (Suitable for):- Beginners for try scuba diving, students for courses, and experienced diver for fun diving.
Best Time To Scuba Dive:- October to May either early morning at 5;30 am or 3:30 pm in the afternoon. There are a lot of speed boat traffic during the day. These boats transfer the tourists to Elephant Beach.
The probable things to witness during scuba diving at Light House!
Regularly spotted marine species:- Reef fish, Giant clams, Turtles, Large schools of unicorn fish, Sargent Major, Fusiliers, Jacks, Triggerfish, Lionfish, Pufferfish, and many more.
Occasionally spotted marine species:- Octopuses, Lobsters, Humpback parrot fish, Dolphins, and many more.
Popular coral species:- Fan coral, Cauliflower coral, Valley coral, Huge barrel sponges, Stag horn coral, Mushroom coral, Sea Urchin, Open brain coral, Stag horn coral, Plate coral, Sea fans, and many more.
The main navigational LightHouse is visible on Google Maps at 12.049410, 92.964768. The ships and local fishermen are heavily dependent on this asset of Havelock. The coral reef at the Lighthouse lies on both sides of it.
This along-shore reef is located 2.5 KM away from the ferry station of Havelock Island. Boat dives are advised here.
The rental scuba diving equipment such as buoyancy compensator, regulators, submersible pressure gauge, wetsuit, weights with belt, mask, and booties are provided.
One should carry:- an underwater camera to capture special moments, a surface marker buoy for signaling the boat traffic. Wearables such as rash guards, dive computers, and UV torches will enhance your experience.

Non-Certified Divers:- INR 5500 + 18% GST per person ( beginners & non-swimmers ).
Certified Divers:- INR 3500 + 18% GST ( open water diver or above qualified ).
