Scuba Diving at Chhe Nala, Chidiyatapu

a beautiful coral reef with multiple schools of colorful fish swimming around

Chhe Nala Dive Site in Chidiyatapu

Description:- The unique topography of the dive site refers to its name in Hindi as Chhe Nala due to six different channels meeting together at this spot. The dive site is created by debris from an old broken Jetty (Harbour) that collapsed years ago. The sunken tractor tyres which were used as safety buoys when the Jetty was operational are now transformed by nature as shelter homes to reef fishes.

The shallowest part of the reef starts from 4 meters and slopes down to 17 meters deep on the sandy patch. The popular sightings of the reef include Parrotfish, sweetlips, Schools of snappers, Trevally, Angelfish, and stingrays relaxing on the sandy bottom here.
